In 2011, Global Academy represented the Philippines in the Hong Kong International Culinary Classic (HKICC), a World Association of Chefs Societies-recognized competition dubbed “where the best and brightest convene to show mastery in culinary arts”.
In this prestigious competition among HongKong and Asia Pacific chefs and culinary and baking students, Global Academy bagged 7 medals out of the 7 categories competed in - 2 golds by our students (Young Chefs Category), and 2 silvers plus 3 bronzes by our Chef Instructors.
Included in the Golds is a first-time Highest Gold medal awarded to a Philippine entry in the Young Chefs category, in an international competition.
