To describe Global Academy alumnus Tim Dela Cruz as resilient is an understatement. Resting on laurels is likewise a downplay on his dedication and intensity as a Culinary artist.
He competed in Masterchef UK, braving the equally fiery hopefuls of that part of the world. He came home to the Philippines to Head the kitchens of Michelin-starred British Chef Jason Atherton - Pig and Palm.
He moved on as Head Chef of The Grill at Smiths of Smithfields in London, his performance gaining an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence.
Today, Chef Tim is Head Chef of The Grill at Smiths of Smithfields in London.
This year, he garnered yet another prestigious award - Chef of the Year Honors Awardee for Culinary Excellence in the 2025 The Staff Canteen awards in the United Kingdom!
Chef Tim’s journey is fuelled by his passionate fire. His determination that’s full-speed ahead. His excellence planted in world-class roots at Global Academy.
